Cristina in Wonderland
I came across this amazing artist called Cristina Otero. She is a 16 year old Photographer from Spain. Her talent is extraordinary. A rare mix of digital and traditional illustration, Cristina seems to be a child of Salvador Dali and the Cirque du soleil, born in the iPhone era. Her trademark is desaturating most colors and saturating some elements that she wants you to focus on. She usually takes self portraits and has an amazing ability for makeup. And while you would normally call egocentric someone taking autobiographical pics, she has a very rare face that enables her to metamorph into the characters of her pictures. Her age is definitely something that has a huge influence in her work, because there is a innocence-teenage theme in each concept. She seems to reject reason and logic, her inner world proudly comes from a non adult place, wich is very rare in artist. Looking at Cristina’s art is like falling into the rabbit hole of Alice in Wonderland hand in hand with Lady Gaga…. Quite a ride….
